Brief
Tiny Garden For Occasional Use

When Chris and his team arrived on site, this garden was unloved, overgrown and almost impossible to use.

The owners live abroad some of the time and so they wanted to be able so return to a manageable space that will look good whatever the weather.

The project needed to be finished in time for an important birthday and the client specifically asked for raised beds and a clean, contemporary style.

We think that garden designer Claire Garden Designs together with Rolston Landscapes have done a terrific job of meeting the brief.

Challenge
Shockingly Poor Access

When we asked Chris what he thought was the biggest challenge with this project, he didn't even have to think about his answer.

Getting machinery and materials to the garden was particularly difficult. This is a semi-detached Victorial property with a lovely extension. Access was down a back alley with a 100m distance between the materials store and the garden.

Nevertheless, the overall project ran smoothly and the results speak for themselves.

Solution
One Very Happy Client

According to Chris, the very best bit of this project was the client's reaction to the finished garden.

Second best was using XTech Corten Steel Porcelain Cladding for the first time. Chris was really pleased with the resulting clean, contemporary finish and the colour complements the cedar battens beautifully.
