Brief
A private oasis of calm

Noel's client asked for a scheme with plenty of seating which allowed the family to maximise the sun hours in the garden. They particularly wanted a natural lawn, privacy screening and plenty of storage.
The outdoor space was to match the contemporary styling of the interior to give a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience.
Finally, the whole was to be reasonably low maintenance.

Challenge
Typical new build landscaping challenges

I'm sure that most garden designers and landscapers are only too familiar with the challenges of working in a new build garden. Soil conditions were far from ideal and unfortunately, to add insult to injury, the weather wasn't helpful either.
There were issues with materials delivery, however, with excellent communication and a little patience, these were quickly resolved.
The team at Landscape One Design are well organised and very experienced. They soon turned a muddy mess into a gorgeous garden.

Solution
A triumph of a transformation

As you can see from the photographs, this garden has wonderful clean lines, some stunning features and a great colour scheme.
We particularly love the contrast in colour between the Corten Steel X-Tech Cladding and the vibrant scarlet foliage of the young acer tree.
For Noel, the biggest joy of this project was incorporating materials he'd not worked with before. It's always good to think outside of the box and try out new ideas - particularly when, as in this case, the client is over the moon with the results.
