Brief
A Brand New Patio With All Year Round Interest

Anna's clients had just invested in a new orangery and felt that it deserved some beautiful yet practical landscaping to complement the new building. Anna was asked to redesign the patio areas around the house to give them a mediterranean feel and all year round interest as this would be the view from the new room.

Challenge
Blending The New Patio With The Wider Garden

This property is blessed with a 1 acre garden in a semi rural location. The new patio was only to occupy a relatively small part of the garden but needed to fit seamlessly with existing features. Some quite challenging level changes needed to be addressed. Anna also needed to specify plants materials that would suit the garden and the property whilst creating the client's ideal ambience. No easy task for any garden designer!

A Characterful Outdoor Eating Space

Wow! What can we say. Anna has definitely created a garden space for anyone to admire and enjoy. The planting palette is sublime and the balance of hard and soft landscaping is just perfect. As Anna says, hard landscaping is there for a lifetime, therefore it is important to choose wisely and use the highest quality materials possible. The attention to detail in this garden ensures that it has settled effortlessly into the wider space. Top marks!
