Brief
A Modern Family Garden

This relatively new detached property (approximately 5 years old) has a lovely south facing garden. The proportions area good and the size, at 130 square metres, is nice and manageable for this busy family.
Judi's clients wanted an inspirational space where they could just relax at the end of the working day. They asked for plenty of greenery - but not too much maintenance and also wanted a patio where they could cook, eat, entertain or just "switch off".
Although there are some neighbouring properties, the housing development has been beautifully laid out so that gardens are not overlooked.

Challenge
Sloping ground

It's not unusual these days for a garden to have big changes in its levels. Particularly on modern housing developments. However, Judi says that getting the levels to work with the neighbouring eye-lines was the toughest part of this garden design.
We think she's done a great job of it.

Solution
Clean lines and a restful ambience

We love how Judi has combined the Steel Grey porcelain pavers with Ivory bullnose steps to create an eye-catching patio that suits the space perfectly.
The Ivory colourway picks out the colour of the doorframes to seamlessly connect the house and the garden.
Check out the integral block planter - isn't it genius? We also like the clay paver detail framing the porcelain paving. And those wonderful architectural plants......stunning!
