Bromley Back Garden

Project Type: Domestic rear garden
Alex and the team from Zoomscapes have done an incredible job of this back garden makeover in Bromley, Kent. The client had done their research in advance and chosen Zoomscapes to build their garden based on word of mouth recommendation. And a jolly good job they did of it too.

A Client Who Knew What He Wanted For His Garden

This property belongs to a man who had put a lot of time, effort and thought into his garden makeover.
It's a newly refurbished home with an extension to the rear and the owners wanted the garden to reflect the style and standard of the home. A pre-existing summer house and sandstone patio were to remain in place. The area adjacent to the home was to be a large patio for relaxation and entertaining and the two spaces were to be joined with an elegant area of herringbone clay pavers.
Zoomscapes translated their client's ideas into a 3D garden design for clarification and suggested materials to use in the project.

Challenge
Amalgamating Existing Features Without Compromising Drainage

This garden is beautifully level, which presented a problem for the Zoomscapes team. There was insufficient drop between the patio and the clay pavers to allow for drainage.
How did the team overcome the problem? They raised the level of the patio slightly, installed aco channels between the existing sandstone patio and the new clay pavers and then creating a french drain into the flower beds.

Solution
A Fitting Garden For This Lovely Suburban Property

Zoomscapes' client is delighted with his new garden and rightly so. The team have done an incredible job of blending the old with the new to create a neat, tidy and relaxing garden for the family to enjoy.
Did you spot the floating bench among the photographs? Alex created it using humble sleepers which he planed, sanded and oiled to give them a high-end look and feel.
True talent!
