Brief
Making The Most Of Dramatic Views

This one-off architect designed home deserves an incredible garden to compliment its unconventional form. The single storey building has an elliptical shape and a living green roof which give the impression that it has evolved directly from the cliffside it sits upon.

Rory Andrews Landscape Design Studio envisioned a garden with also blends seamlessly with the natural landscape. The design takes full advantage of the amazing views across the bay and out to sea. Unique Projects Devon were invited to bring the design to life as only they can.

This is phase 1 of a large project. The soft planting and addition of more features will be completed later in the year.

Challenge
Tight Timelines And Tumultuous Weather

Weather is frequently cited as a main challenge in these landscaping case studies and this project is no exception. Can you imagine how awkward it is to work on an exposed cliff face in winter? However, the UP team rose to the challenge and finished the scheme within their 10 week project time frame.

Solution

The setting for this garden is spectacular, as is the layout plan. But it's the execution of this design that really sings. We can't wait to see more pictures as the garden build evolves.
